More Life, Less Faff: Our Story and the Philosophy Behind the Brand
Share
Tired of the nonsense? Sick of the extra steps? The long-winded emails that could have been two sentences? I get it. More than you know.
We’re all surrounded by “faff”—the unnecessary complications, wasted time, and pointless formalities that get in the way of… well, of everything. It’s the traffic jam on a perfectly good day, the endless instructions for a simple task, the forced cheerfulness when you’d rather just be alone, the christmas present that is so niche you know it will end up at the charity shop within 3 months.
I am regularly accused of being mardy. Before it used to bother me, now it's my superpower. I've learned to embrace it, channel it, draw on its power in everyday life. This is where We Are Mardy was born. It's not just a brand; it’s a movement against the tedious and the trivial. It's for the people who believe life is too short for unnecessary steps, pointless small talk, people with no spatial or situational awareness and the sound of someone chewing with their mouth open.
I believe that being a little bit "mardy" is just a sign that you have a good moral sense of what matters, what is decent, what is RIGHT!. The philosophy is simple: cut through the noise, embrace a no-nonsense attitude, and get on with what’s actually important.
The designs—from the angry coffee cup (our beloved "Sappuccino") to the Room 101 collection—are our way of fighting back. We create sarcastic, relatable art and apparel that says what you're really thinking. These aren't just products; they're a banner for the anti-faff movement, a way to find humour in life's most annoying moments.
So, if you’re a proud member of the grumpy club, if you appreciate a sarcastic quip more than a sunny day, and if you believe that a good sigh can solve more problems than a forced smile, you've found your people, your home.
